"Estimates show that two cans or glasses of soda per day adds approximately 24 to 35 pounds of fat per year, depending on body size, age, habits, etc.. Some people (weighing in at 140 pounds) have reported that by giving up two cans of soda per day, without exercise, they lost 20 pounds in six months. Add in exercise, reduce other sugar intake, eat more fruits and vegetables, add high water consumption and you could possibly be ready to fit into those jeans within six weeks. But if cutting out soda altogether is too difficult, you could replace one soda per day with water. Cutting down from two per day to one can yields about a 16 pound yearly loss."
Yes, I am a COKE addict. I could drink it all day. Basically my daily liquid intake consisted of Coke, Sweet Tea, and coffee. All caffeinated. And most days there was no tea. So, the idea with this "getting skinny" kick is to get rid of the sugary drinks, specifically Coke. How I love the Coke....I will only be partaking once a week at first just to "come down" off of this highly addictive drug. Ha! I am replacing with watered down 100% fruit juices, water (blech, i hate it!), and sweet tea that I have sweetened with MUCH less sugar.
RIP Coke, its been real...
PS...I've already lost 4.7 lbs!!! ;)

I totally feel your pain with the soda. I've been so great with it. Only 2 real sodas since Jan. 1. Couple of Diet Mt. Dews 'cause I HATE diet drinks. But drinking more iced coffees, lattes in the morning, and VitaminWater Zeros and water in the afternoons....keep up the good work!
